Executive Director Linda A. Osmundson came to
CASA in 1989 when seven staff members focused their
energy primarily on shelter services. Under Ms.
Osmundson’s leadership, CASA has grown to
its current status as a nationally and internationally
recognized, full-service agency with innovative
programs, extensive community outreach, 48 full-time
and 24 part-time staff advocates. |
Linda was one of the founders of the clemency movement for battered women in Florida. She was a founding member of the Governor’s Task Force on Domestic Violence and received the 1995 Florida Governor’s Peace at Home Award, the 2001 Liberty Bell Award and the 2002 Community Service Woman of the Year Award. She is a past president for the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence and she also served on the Steering Committee of the National Coalition. She has presented to internationally in Bogotá, Prague, Cyprus, Japan, Singapore and Melbourne, Australia and visited many more international women’s programs.
