Rise and shine shoppers!  Set your alarm clocks now for the Downtown Business Association’s 43rd Annual Sunrise Sale - known as the biggest pajama party in Tampa Bay at 6:43am on July 21, 2016.  If you have an eye for deals, this is a sale you do not want to miss.  Over 40 local retailers and museums from downtown St. Pete to the Edge District have been preparing all year to bring you incredible offers and deep discounts.     


This year, the organization is partnering with Community Action Stops Abuse (“CASA”) - southern Pinellas County’s domestic violence primary support service and shelter.  As you shop the best deals in town, please bring a few items from CASA’s wish list to support the domestic violence shelter’s ongoing needs for food and hygiene essentials.  Canned and non-perishable food items are always welcome.  CASA’s entire wish list can be found here: www.casa-stpete.org/wishlist

St. Petersburg Downtown Business Association Hosts 43rd Annual Sunrise Sale
on July 21, 2016

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA., July 1, 2016] – This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the blockbuster summer sale which has been featured in the New York Times and often referred to as “St. Petersburg’s Largest Pajama Party.” 

Beginning at 6:43 a.m. and continuing throughout the day, more than 40 downtown and nearby St. Petersburg merchants and businesses will offer doorbuster sales and special offers, including more than ten participants new to the event this year. Shoppers are encouraged to wear their pajamas and are often treated to extra discounts or small gifts. As part of the event that sees downtown filled at dawn with yellow flags, bright balloons and eager shoppers, the DBA will be collecting wish list items for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse).

There will be free cake at the main tent, located on the lawn of the Museum of Fine Arts, and several restaurants are offering incredible breakfast specials to hungry shoppers. The event is open to the public, and maps will be available to guide people to participating businesses. Anxious shoppers can follow the Sunrise Sale announcements on Facebook at www.facebook.com/DBAStPete. Special offers will be highlighted leading up to the event.
