Volunteer Receptionists Needed

CASA is currently in need of TWO qualified and dedicated volunteers who are interested in spending some time at the Reception Area in our Community Center on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:00am-5:00pm. The opportunity will begin on Tuesday, January 19th!

This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who enjoy meeting and talking to people, who want to get to know staff in our Executive and Outreach departments, and who truly want to give back to survivors on a daily basis.

This opportunity is ongoing (3 month commitment minimum, please!), as the training required can be in-depth. We will need two volunteers who can fill the following positions:

Tuesdays -- 9:00am - 1:00pm
Tuesdays -- 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Thursdays -- 9:00am - 1:00pm
Thursdays
– 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Duties:
Answer and route incoming phone calls, screen individuals coming into the building and various other front desk duties. You will use your skills and knowledge to determine the appropriate department for crisis and confidential calls in order to properly assist individuals and families reaching out to CASA who are experiencing domestic violence.  This is a highly confidential atmosphere.

Skills Needed: Requires volunteer orientation and local background check. High level of professionalism and telephone-skills required.  Ability to handle crisis situations preferred, but willing to train.

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity please contact Kelly Steele - ksteele@casa-stpete.org.

Thank you for all that you do in supporting our mission!
