"Things were going really great with my CASA job interview. Skype calls, interviews across the country... everything was perfect until I saw the job application. It was the first time I wondered, “can I really do this?”

The first question on the application was of course my name. Got it, that was ok! The second question was my home address— and that’s what stumped me. You see, I have a confidential address.

So here was the question: do I potentially put myself and my family at risk by actually writing down my real residential address? Do I instead use my legal address of record that is listed as a PO Box – which of course no one actually accepts as a residential address?" READ MORE

CASA's new Interim* CEO, Lariana Forsythe shared her story of triumph over violence.

*Interim status is a temporary designation being used while Florida Administrative Rule requirements are completed.

Join our family of caring supporters at the 21st Annual CASA Peace Breakfast. This is CASA's most important and impactful event of the year!

The Peace Breakfast's inspirational program will feature a true story of triumph over domestic violence, presentation of the annual John E. Stross “Victory Over Violence” award and special speakers such as Lissette Campos, Director of Community Affairs at WFTS - ABC Action News.

For more info please visit www.casa-stpete.org/PeaceBreakfast, email Kathy Scott at kscott@casa-stpete.org or call 727-895-4912.
When CASA opened its new domestic violence shelter in 2015 we had a max capacity of 100. By re-imagining and re-configuring the space we can now provide emergency housing to up to 133 women, children and men at a time! Hundreds of additional people each year will now be able to escape violent abusers.

That's an increase of 33% in the capacity of people we can shelter from abuse! Unfortunately, funding has NOT increased by anything close to that amount.

That's why we need your help. Without it we can't sustain our level of services. Please donate, get a ticket, become a sponsor and/or purchase a program ad for the CASA Peace Breakfast. It is our most critical fundraiser of the year!

CONTRIBUTE to keep CASA running at its full potential.
CASA’s partnership with the Tampa Bay Rays shines light on domestic violence, informs people how to get help and literally tells them: “We believe you. Speak out, we will listen!”

Together we are telling domestic violence survivors that they have no need to be ashamed. The Rays are saying it through visible support of our services, events and Reading With Raymond program; in the media; and literally on every bathroom stall in their home stadium. CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO!
Tampa Bay is actually a major hub of human trafficking, an industry that traps over 14,000 people in America each year. Its victims are subjected to forced labor and/or sexual acts and frequently suffer from domestic violence.

CASA's programs and shelter coordinates with the Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking on cases involving domestic violence in our area.

If you are the victim of a trafficking situation or may have info about one, please call the National Human Trafficking Hotline: (888) 373-7888.
