KATIE'S CHRISTMAS

Dear Friend of CASA,

For so many, the Holiday season is often a time we remember to be thankful for so much in our lives.  The same is true for 9-year-old Katie.

Recently, Katie moved into CASA’s domestic violence shelter with her mom. To you that might sound depressing, that she will spend the holidays away from home, but for Katie it is a blessing. She has escaped an abusive home, leaving behind the emotional and physical violence she and her mom endured for far too long.  For the first time in a long time, Katie has hope.

Imagine what Katie’s Christmas would have looked like, if not for CASA’s help.

This year 57 children and 55 adults celebrated Thanksgiving at CASA’s domestic violence shelter. During their time with us, residents are provided food, clothing, shelter, after-school care, youth programs, legal support and resources to attain economic and emotional empowerment. The support and guidance families receive at CASA will help them break the generational cycle of abuse so that children like Katie have the opportunity to live, heal and grow in a peaceful and loving environment.

This is why I ask for your support of Katie and so many others who need help to move forward into a positive future.  Your support of CASA’s programs will provide hope to families in crisis as they begin the New Year with a fresh start.

Thank you in advance for your year-end commitment to a community without domestic violence!

As a special thank you for your donation, we will mail you a $50 gift certificate to Columbia Restaurant so that you can enjoy a lovely family meal at the iconic local restaurant!*

* Donate $250 or more using this special page by December 31 to qualify for the gift certificate. If you would prefer not to receive the gift certificate please indicate that in the "comments" section below.

Sincerely,

Lariana Forsythe
CASA CEO
