Justice Advocate (Criminal Court)
Major Function: Provide advocacy interventions to survivors of domestic violence and their children. Including but not limited to crisis intervention, safety education, information and referrals, and justice advocacy to individuals who seek services from CASA’s Survivor Support Services, Non-Residential department, telephone hotline and those who enter the legal system for protection from domestic violence.
Director of Survivor Support Services, Non-residential
Major Function: To provide planning, supervision, support and motivation to Child Welfare and Community Outreach and Justice Advocacy Departments, educational & professional training.
IFP Project Lead Attorney
Major Function: Provide direct legal representation to survivors of domestic, dating, and sexual violence and stalking in temporary, final and other injunction for protection proceeding and civil prosecution of violations of injunctions. The IFP Project Lead Attorney will accept referrals of 1) survivors seeking temporary injunctions, and after determining that seeking an injunction is a safe and appropriate legal remedy, will complete and file the ex parte petition for injunction and represent the survivor at the final injunction hearing; 2) survivors who have obtained a temporary injunction on their own and need representation at the hearing on the final injunction; 3) survivors who have a final injunction for protection and the respondent has violated the injunction; 4) survivors who need legal assistance to oppose a motion to dismiss the injunction and similar types of injunction representation. Manages a staff of two IFP Project Attorneys and a Paralegal.
Residential Life Advocate – Part-time (Evening and Overnight Shifts)
Major Function: To assist in promoting the well-being of shelter residents. Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, safety planning, and support. Responsible to promote safety, security, and cleanliness of the shelter.
Family Advocate – Outreach
Major Function: To provide outreach services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. To work directly with Director to implement and supervise Outreach programs that better serve and expand services to families receiving Outreach services. To provide crisis intervention, safety education, information and referral, and criminal justice advocacy for callers on the Outreach helpline and “walk-in” program participants who seek services through the Outreach Department.
Major Function: To provide cleaning services to the Shelter facility to assure that the building is clean and presentable at all times.
Senior Residential Life Advocate
Major Function: To assist in promoting the well-being of shelter residents. Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, safety planning, and support. Responsible to promote safety, security, and cleanliness of the shelter. Provide supervision, training and support to resident advocates and volunteers.
